SHIRE OF MERREDIN APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Shire President Councillor Julie Flockart today announced that the process of recruiting a permanent Chief Executive Officer has been completed without an appointment being made. The Council will recommence the process and will confirm the schedule for re-advertising the position at its November monthly meeting.

"Recruitment of the CEO who will lead the Shire organisation for the next several years is a critical decision for the Council, arguably the most important decision the Council will make in this term", Councillor Flockart said.

The Council thanks those who applied for the position acknowledging the wide range of qualifications, skills and experience presented.

Mr Mark Dacombe, currently Temporary CEO will continue in the role until a new appointee takes up the position.
