If You Have Lost Your Dog or Cat
Please report it to the Merredin Ranger as soon as possible by calling 0409 195 867. The Ranger will record your contact information and a detailed description of your pet. This information is actively used to match against animals that have been impounded or reported by the community.
Tip: It is also highly recommended to contact local veterinary clinics, such as the Merredin Veterinary Clinic, and check local community noticeboards or social media groups.
If You Have Found a Dog or Cat
If you have found a lost animal within the Shire of Merredin, please contact the Ranger.
-
With Identification: If the animal is wearing a Shire of Merredin registration tag, please provide the tag number to help us quickly locate the owner.
-
Without Identification: If the dog or cat has no visible ID, contact Ranger Services to arrange for the animal to be safely collected and impounded.
Please note that the Ranger will not pick up an animal if no one is home. An adult must be present at the property to hand over the found pet to the Ranger.
