Water Tower

📍 Great Eastern Highway, Merredin

Standing 15.2 metres tall beside Great Eastern Highway, this iconic structure has watched over travellers since 1893. Originally built to service steam locomotives, the tower supplied water pumped from the dam at Merredin Peak for more than 60 years.

Following major restoration works beginning in April 2024, the reinforced wooden tower and metal tank were officially completed in October 2025, preserving this much-loved landmark for future generations. Today, it proudly stands within the beautifully redeveloped Pioneer Park
