Community Scorecard

Every two years, the Shire of Merredin conducts a community survey to assess satisfaction with local services, facilities, and resources, while monitoring overall community wellbeing.

To ensure an independent process, the Shire partners with CATALYSE® to administer the MARKYT® Community Scorecard Survey.

The survey invites residents to rate Council’s programs, events, and infrastructure, helping us pinpoint key strengths and recognise areas for improvement. It gathers feedback on broader factors that shape quality of life, such as community engagement, employment, education, and financial health. Local businesses are also invited to share their perspectives, helping Council better support the local business sector.

Results are compared to previous years and other WA local governments to measure our performance and progress over time. Most importantly, these insights directly guide the priorities in our Council Plan, the Shire’s strategic roadmap that ensures Council's focus remains aligned with community expectations.
