The small dog section at the Merredin Dog Park will remain closed for the next 6 weeks while the new grass is given time to properly establish. The big dog section is back open and will remain operational while the small dog section is closed.
Council gives ratepayers the opportunity to either pay one payment or to pay the rates off by instalments. To be eligible for this payment option, the first payment must be received by 3 October 2025. The instalment plan interest rate is 5.5%. An administration charge of $13.90 will be charged per instalment notice if the payment option of instalments is selected.
Please contact the Shire directly if you are having difficulty making the payment dates. If you do not, an interest rate of 8% will be imposed, and legal action may be taken if payments are not paid on time.
