Please be advised that the Shire Administration Office will be closing at 3:45pm on Tuesday 18 August 2026, to allow staff to attend the Long Tan Day Service.

SOUTH AVE - UPCOMING TELSTRA WORKS

Please be aware that Telstra will be conducting essential maintenance and repair works along South Avenue (between Craddock and Jellicoe Roads) between 4 August 2026 – 4 October 2026. The footpath adjacent to the works area may be temporarily restricted or blocked at times, and as such, pedestrian and gopher traffic may need to safely bypass the work zone by using an alternative route.

Rate Instalments

Council gives ratepayers the opportunity to either pay one payment or to pay the rates off by instalments. To be eligible for this payment option, the first payment must be received by 11 September 2026. The instalment plan interest rate is 5.5%. An administration charge of $13.90 will be charged per instalment notice if the payment option of instalments is selected.

1st Instalment	11 September 2026
2nd Instalment	13 November 2026
3rd Instalment	15 January 2027
4th Instalment	19 March 2027

Please contact the Shire directly if you are having difficulty meeting the payment dates. If you do not, an interest rate of 8% will be imposed, and legal action may be taken if payments are not made on time.
