ROAD DAMAGE CAUSED BY HEAT

Due to the extreme weather conditions, minor issues have been detected in the road surfaces that have recently been completed on South Ave and in the Pioneer Park carpark.

We have provided further information regarding each of the roads below.

🚧 PIONEER PARK CARPARK 🚧

To prevent further damage, the Shire have now closed the carpark located at Pioneer Park until further notice, and will be working with the construction contractor to investigate the issue.

We endeavour to re-open the carpark as soon as possible. Pedestrian access remains open for the Park.

🚧 SOUTH AVENUE 🚧

Main Roads WA has been notified of the situation, however, the Shire is assisting with temporary repairs until they are able to address the issue with the road pavement.

Road users are asked to drive to the conditions and use an alternative route if possible.
