Notice of Approval for the Shire of Merredin Local Planning Scheme No. 6 Amendment No. 8 – Planning and Development Act 2005

The Shire has received confirmation from the Western Australian Planning Commission (WAPC) that the proposed Omnibus Amendment No. 8 to the Shire’s Local Planning Scheme No. 6 has been approved by the Honourable John Carey, Minister for Planning and Lands.

As of the 12th of June 2026, the Omnibus Amendment No. 8 is in full force and effect, and applies to all new development applications within the Shire of Merredin.

The Omnibus amendment may be accessed at the Shire of Merredin administration building, corner of King & Barrack Streets, Merredin WA 6415 and will be open for inspection during office hours.

The Omnibus amendment can also be viewed on the Shire of Merredin website.
