🔥 PROHIBITED BURNING PERIOD 🔥

From 1 November 2025 until 17 February 2026, the Shire of Merredin is in the Prohibited Burning Period. During this time, no burning is permitted.

Harvest and Vehicle Movement Bans will be put in place when the use of engines, vehicles, plant or machinery are considered high bushfire risk activities.

Total Fire Bans are declared by DFES when severe weather conditions are forecast or when widespread fires mean they don’t have the resources to fight more.
