The small dog section at the Merredin Dog Park will remain closed for the next 6 weeks while the new grass is given time to properly establish. The big dog section is back open and will remain operational while the small dog section is closed.

The Shire of Merredin is committed to improving our landfill and accounting processes. As part of these enhancements, the following changes will take effect from Thursday, 2 January 2025:
All contractors who are invoiced will now have a photo of their vehicle registration and load taken upon entry. This measure aims to assist in addressing any discrepancies or queries efficiently.
The Merredin Waste Facility weekday closing time will change to 3:00PM.
