Dog and Cat Registrations Due

A friendly reminder to all pet owners that dog and cat registrations are due by 31 October 2026. If your cat has reached 6 months or your dog has reached 3 months, they must be registered with the Shire of Merredin.

FIREBREAKS DUE 31 OCTOBER 2026

All landowners and occupiers are required to carry out fire prevention work in accordance with the Firebreak Notice before the 1 November each year, and these works must be maintained until the end of the autumn restricted burning period. Failure to comply with the ‘Fire Break order’ may result in the issuing of a modified penalty from the Shire.
