Corella Management Works

The Shire of Merredin has engaged a licensed contractor to undertake corella control works during the week commencing Monday 2 March 2026.

These essential works will involve the use of firearms to humanely manage the corella population within Roy Little Park, as well as other areas under Shire management.

For public safety, access to the park will be temporarily restricted while the control works are in progress. In addition, Duff Street will also be temporarily closed between King Street and Nungarin Road (see map below). Please avoid the areas and seek alternative routes.

Notification letters will be distributed to nearby residents next week.

If you have pets or animals that are sensitive to noise, please ensure they are kept indoors or secured appropriately during this period.
