Apex Park | Danjoo Waabininy Boodja was buzzing with excitement on Saturday, 19 April 2025, as families gathered for Merredin’s inaugural Easter in the Park celebration. With more than 50 children taking part, the morning was filled with laughter, energy, and festive cheer.

Children darted across the park in search of golden eggs, while parents and carers looked on with smiles, soaking up the relaxed atmosphere and autumn sunshine. It was a perfect blend of fun and togetherness that brought families from all corners of the community.

After the egg hunt, the kids had the opportunity to participate in arts and crafts, as well as play fun lawn games, while the adults mingled and caught up over delicious coffees and treats served by Wheatbelt Ice Cream Time. The Easter Bunny even made an appearance, sharing hugs, high-fives, and plenty of photo opportunities that added extra sparkle to the day.

Thank you to Merredin IGA for their generous donation of chocolate eggs, which brought delight to many little hands. Events like these wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support from our local businesses, volunteers, and community members.
