The Shire is pleased to announce we have secured an Age-friendly Communities Connectivity grant through the Cook Government. We are among 18 Western Australian organisations and local governments to share in $232,000 of funding to deliver programs aimed at promoting positive aging.

Our upcoming funded project, Tea & Tech, is a fortnightly program where tech-savvy individuals will help our senior citizens understand how to make the most of technology and stay safe while using electronic devices. These sessions will strengthen connections within our community and support independent living.

Our first Tea & Tech session will be held on Wednesday 26 November 2025 from 10:00am to 12:00pm in the Tivoli Room at Cummins Theatre, Merredin.
