Please be advised that a Shire of Merredin contractor will be undertaking asphalt resurfacing works at the railway crossing located on Crooks Road in the week commencing Monday 9 March 2026. During this period, Crooks Road will be CLOSED from Great Eastern Highway to Gabo Avenue, and motorists are asked to seek alternative routes. Vehicle access to CBH Merredin and Transplus on Gabo Avenue via Goldfields Road is expected to remain unaffected. Works are expected to be completed by Tuesday 17 March 2026, subject to weather conditions.
To facilitate a scheduled staff meeting, the Merredin Landfill and Waste Site will open at 8:00am this Thursday 26 February. Regular operating hours will resume immediately following the meeting. We apologise for any inconvenience.
