Position Status: Permanent, full time

Salary: Level 3 up to $57,994 p/a*

*plus adverse working conditions allowance for some aspects of the role

 

Applications are invited for the position of full time Cleaner with the Shire of Merredin. The role of the Cleaner is to provide a high level of cleanliness and hygiene for Shire of Merredin facilities, community buildings and public conveniences, in a safe and efficient manner that contributes to a positive image for the Shire.

It is essential that general cleanliness and routine cleaning is maintained to ensure facilities are well-presented during hours of operation. Adherence to all required cleaning duties is essential.

Ordinary hours for this role can be worked between 5.00am and 10.00pm Monday to Sunday in accordance with the Local Government Industry Award 2020 (LGIA 2020).

Reporting directly to the Executive Manager Infrastructure Services, and working in conjunction with other staff within the organisation, this position is key to ensuring Shire facilities are well maintained and meet the expectations of users. Ideally, we are looking for someone that takes pride in their work, is flexible with working hours and has some experience in commercial cleaning.
