About us
The Shire of Merredin is a local government area with a population of around 3,300 people, located 260km from Perth on Great Eastern Highway, with daily train services from Perth. The Role
The Merredin Regional Community and Leisure Centre is a welcoming and vibrant local space where sports, leisure and recreation thrive together. Reporting to the Grandstand Bar and Restaurant Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in the seamless operation of the Grandstand Bar and Restaurant. Your responsibilities include providing exceptional bar service, ensuring a clean and organised kitchen and restaurant, and assisting with food preparation as required.
The ideal candidates for this position possess well-developed time management and organisational skills, ensuring efficient handling of tasks and responsibilities. Candidates should demonstrate initiative and enthusiasm, contributing to a positive team environment. A customer-centric mindset, coupled with a commitment to delivering outstanding service and a genuine passion for creating memorable experiences, is essential.

Position Description - Junior
MRCLC Administration / Program Officer
Position Status: Permanent/Full Time
Salary: Level 7 range of $63,209 to $67,300
Applications are invited for the position of Administration/Program Officer at the MRCLC. This is a new role and has been developed to complete confidential and efficient administrative duties at the MRCLC and to deliver an effective and courteous service to the general public, sporting groups and community members. A key outcome of the role is to meet community needs in relation to the planning and delivery of recreation programs.
Reporting directly to the Recreation and Aquatics Manager, this position is key to the successful running of the MRCLC and requires someone that is adaptable, able to think on their feet and effectively solve the day to day issues that crop up. Ideally, you will have good administration skills, experience in or exposure to recreation program development and delivery and understand the challenges of working in a community facing role.
Ongoing, and in conjunction with the Manager, this role will work with community and sporting groups to identify their requirements and develop programs to ensure the best use of the facility.
