The Merredin Shire Council has a vision for Merredin to be a vibrant rural centre offering a comprehensive range of regional services which improve the quality of life of the people within the Shire and Central Wheatbelt.

Council Committees

Heritage Management Committee

The Heritage Management Committee is responsible for Pioneer Park and all built Heritage in the Merredin townsite.

Business and Community Development Committee (BCDC)

The BCDC is responsible for projects related to business development, Merredin townscape and reserves.

Merredin Regional Community and Leisure Centre (MRC&LC) Advisory Committee

This Committee provides advice related to the MRC&LC facility.   

Central Wheatbelt Visitor Centre (CWVC) Working Group

The CWVC Working Group involves a number of local government partners.  The group provides support for the CWVC and considers initiatives related to tourism, as well as visitor servicing.
