 “I am pleased to announce that progress is being made regarding the future of the iconic Merredin Water Tower. 

The Shire of Merredin has investigated whether the tank could be repaired to make it safe enough to stay in place. As a result, concept drawings have been prepared by the Shire engineering staff and provided to the Public Transport Authority (PTA).

The PTA will review the drawings and will consider funding the proposed repairs if a structurally sound and viable solution can be found.”
