About the Artist

Early 60s... East London... Cream, Elvis, Leadbelly. The beginnings of a passion for rhythms on percussion and lyrics on guitar. Up in the attic in Walthamstow... Berry, Dylan, Tull, teddy boys, mods 'n' rockers, The Stones, The Beatles &... these were the influences shaping Richie Pavledis's life.

Richie Pavledis came to Western Australia while in his teens, and began honing his drumming skills with a number of local bands including Prayer Wheel, Buckshot, Slave and Barrelhouse. The 70s gave way to the 80s, by which time he had worked the blues circuit with the likes of the Dave Hole band, and the country scene with Alby Pool's No City Limits and of course the Hot Biscuit Band. Over time Richie found a blend of styles that suited him.

His focus these days is mostly on his solo career and working a lot overseas. Richie's songs are currently being played in many radio stations all over the world. And with some songs, for example "Long Distance Dream“ he won a WAM Blues Award.

Richie has released eight albums so far.
