Welcome to the Shire of MERREDIN

Merredin Twilight International Food Festival

Past Event

The Merredin Twilight International Food Festival is set to return to Cummins Theatre on Friday, 24 March 2023.

Important Information for Cooking Volunteers:

Quantity
Portion sizes should not be too big - the aim is to offer a taste only. Preparation of approximately 150 tastings is recommended.

Ingredients
You will be asked to provide a shopping list as part of this application for Shire of Merredin staff to purchase for you, which can be collected from Cummins Theatre* on the 21st March.

Alternatively, you can purchase the ingredients yourself and provide a receipt for reimbursement. Please provide an approximate budget for approval before purchasing. Reimbursements will require an additional form to be completed.

Set Up
Cummins Theatre will be available from 4.30pm to set up. Fridges and Heating are available.

We will provide a table, serviettes, small compostable bowls, and cutlery for serving your food. If your dish requires something different, please let us know.

Please bring your dish in a bowl, platter or tray to be served from, with appropriate serving utensils where possible.

Cooking facilities may be accessed on the night if organised prior & are subject to availability. This includes the BBQ, as well as the Oven and Hotplates in the Cummins Theatre Kitchen.

Staying and serving the food is encouraged, but we understand this may not always be possible. Volunteers will be on hand to assist where needed.

If you would like to bring in ornaments or decorations for your table, please feel free to do so. If you wish to dress in clothing reflective of your culture, please do.

The Event
The Food Festival will run from 6pm-8pm.

Entertainment will also be provided at the event.

Photographs will be taken during the event, if you do not want your photo taken, please let staff know.
