CBD Redevelopment - Call out for Local Contractors
Are you a local business that is interested in being part of one of the biggest redevelopments in Merredin? Then we have an exciting opportunity for you!
Construction for stages of the multi-million-dollar CBD revitalisation will be released in a number of public tenders in the coming months. It is expected that more than $4.9 million will be injected into the local economy over the duration of the redevelopment and multiple associated projects.
A key priority for the Shire is to ensure that local suppliers and contractors have every opportunity to be involved in these projects. To achieve this, a price preference will be given to local companies, as well as to businesses using local sub-contractors, during the tender process.
To connect local businesses with construction companies, the Shire is creating a list that will be provided to all companies registering an interest in submitting a tender for the works.
Any local businesses, big or small, that would like to be included on this list should provide the following details to tenders@merredin.wa.gov.au;
- Business Name
- Contact Name
- Contact Number
- Contact Email
- Brief description of Goods or Services
- ABN
For any queries regarding the above, please contact the Shire on (08) 9041 1611.
