Grandstand Bar and Restaurant Casual

About us

The Shire of Merredin is a local government area with a population of around 3,300 people, located 260km from Perth on Great Eastern Highway, with daily train services from Perth. The Shire is the regional hub, servicing a wider population of around 10,000 and we are positioning to live up to our tagline ‘Innovating the Wheatbelt’.

The Role

The Merredin Regional Community and Leisure Centre is a welcoming and vibrant local space where sports, leisure and recreation thrive together. Reporting to the Grandstand Bar and Restaurant Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in the seamless operation of the Grandstand Bar and Restaurant. Your responsibilities include providing exceptional bar service, ensuring a clean and organised kitchen and restaurant, and assisting with food preparation as required.

The ideal candidates for this position possess well-developed time management and organisational skills, ensuring efficient handling of tasks and responsibilities. Candidates should demonstrate initiative and enthusiasm, contributing to a positive team environment. A customer-centric mindset, coupled with a commitment to delivering outstanding service and a genuine passion for creating memorable experiences, is essential.

Administration Officer - Corporate Services

Commencing: Immediately

Position Status: Full Time

Salary: Level 6/7 range of $62,136 - $67,300

Applications are invited for the position of Administration Officer – Corporate Services. The successful candidate will provide confidential and effective administrative support for the Shire of Merredin, including the management of our records and the efficient and courteous delivery of customer services.

You will be working in the Corporate Services directorate which delivers Financial, Human Resource, Information and Communications Technology (ICT), Procurement, Risk, WHS and Customer Service activities for the Shire. In addition to the general administration and customer services responsibilities of this role, it is anticipated that over time you will develop skills in administration of payroll, payment of creditors and other financial tasks, alongside your records role.

We are a small team and are looking forward to welcoming a new team member. Ideally, we are looking for someone that is experienced working in a similar environment, however, your ability to adapt and quickly gain the necessary knowledge and skills will be highly regarded.
